Outdoor Voices CloudKnit – What is it?
You may have seen a new kid on the block of athleisure wear. Although Outdoor Voices began in 2012, it seems like it has gained popularity more recently. They say they are, “freeing fitness from performance and bringing back Doing Things For Fun.”
Basically, I read that as providing clothing that doesn’t need to go to the gym but makes your everyday active life a little more comfortable. I have some friends who have raved about their clothing, so I was super excited to give it a whirl.
I ordered the Outdoor Voices All Day Hoodie and All Day Sweatpants in Charcoal. The Outdoor Voices CloudKnit line is touted as incredibly soft, lightweight, breathable, stretchy, and just about the most comfortable thing in your closet. I have to say, I agree! Since purchasing the set I have worn it first after every laundry day. It is very easy to slip on and super comfortable for whatever my day holds (read chasing little people all day).

What we don’t love about Outdoor Voices CloudKnit 👎🏻
- The price: the Outdoor Voices CloudKnit Hoodie will set you back $85 and the Outdoor Voices CloudKnit Sweatpants (read joggers) will set you back another $85. This seems a little steep, but is actually less than other high-quality athleisure brands such as Lululemon (see how to get Lululemon for less) or Athleta.
Who is Outdoor Voice CloudKnit for?
This product is for all the people out there like me who want to wear comfy athletic clothing but who have no interest in going to the gym. 😁
They do have some pieces that are more geared towards actual training, but a lot of their items seem to be made more for active lifestyles in general. As a mom of two toddlers, I appreciate being comfortable in my clothes whether at the park or playing on the floor. I think this set makes you look put together and not like you are still wearing your pajamas from the night before.

The Outdoor Voices CloudKnit Hoodie has a front kangaroo pouch and a hood with drawstring.
The Outdoor Voices CloudKnit Sweatpants are more like joggers in my opinion and also have a drawstring along with side pockets. Both pieces are tagless and can be machine washed and machine dried! This set ran true to size. I ordered my typical size XS.
What is cloudknit made of
The Outdoor Voices CloudKnit fabric line is touted as incredibly soft, lightweight, breathable, stretchy and just about the most comfortable thing in your closet. I definitely would agree with this! It is a very luxe athletic fabric. It feels thick, yet lightweight at the same time. The pieces are very stretchy and one of the most comfortable things I have in my closet for sure!
CloudKnit is 94% Polyester, 6% Spandex – but don’t worry, it doesn’t make a lot of noise like some Polyester can make.
Outdoor Voices CloudKnit: How to Style
I like to put my set on together and tuck the hoodie into the pants to make it almost look like a jumpsuit. I throw on a pair of white Nike Cortez sneakers and my North Face bomber jacket and I am ready to go!

There are so many alternatives to this product if the price feels a little steep to you! They have similar matching sets at Super Target. However, this fabric is definitely very luxe so if you are looking to invest a little more in an athleisure outfit that will last forever, this is the one! The Outdoor Voices CloudKnit Hoodie and Outdoor Voices CloudKnit Sweatpants have quickly become one of my favorite sets to “Mom” in! You can not go wrong with the comfort you will experience when you are wearing this set. The fabric is incredibly luxe and gives you a little pulled-together look that allows you to still tackle whatever your day (read: kids) throw at you!
