If you are on the fence about 1stopbedrooms and wondering if they are legit, they 100% are legit. We rolled the dice and got a beautiful sectional.
What we purchased: a sectional
We decided to take a risk and purchase an awesome sectional from 1Stop Bedrooms (bad name, I know – especially since we don’t actually buy a bedroom). We received the sectional in perfect condition and everything about it looked great. The quality was top-notch and all of our family members absolutely loved it.
The sectional we decided to press our luck on - and we're so glad that we did!
We purchased the Meridian sectional for about $2,900, with free shipping. Similar sectionals cost about $1,000 – $3,000 more. So, we decided to give 1StopBedrooms a shot!
The 1StopBedrooms Ordering Process
This is the only part that was not perfect about the 1StopBedroom Process was the shipping. We ordered the sectional on May 28th, 2021. Yes, in the middle of COVID.
We knew, and 1StopBedrooms had plenty of warnings that deliveries might be delayed due to COVID-19.
That wasn’t a huge deal for us, as we finished our basement (like everyone else), during COVID.
June: Delay Notification
Then, on June 24th, we were given a delay notification (about a month after our purchase).
To 1StopBedroom’s credit, they gave us the option to cancel the order, with no penalty. Since the basement wasn’t completed, we decided to keep the order and wait and see.
July: Order in Transit
On July 27th, we got an email saying the order was finally in transit. It pegged a delivery day of August 10th – August 17th.
September 8th: Pick a delivery date
Then, on September 8th, we got an email saying we could pick the delivery date and the order would be fulfilled by Ryder.
Since we were still in no hurry, we selected a later date, October 6th.
Final Delivery: October 6th
We finally got the order delivered on October 6th. 1stopbedrooms has several delivery options, including white glove and “over the threshold.” The later just means that they will wheel the furniture into your home and drop it off, no assembly required.
We decided to go with this option and Ryder was great about getting everything situated in our house.
When all was said and done, we waited about 148 days for this order.
This is roughly 4 months and 18 days or 5 full months. During this period, 1StopBedrooms experienced delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which caused many other companies to experience similar delays in their order fulfillment processes. Despite the delays, 1StopBedrooms maintained excellent communication with us about our order status and gave us updates throughout the process.
What about the sectional? Was it any good?
I’m so glad we decided to get the Merdian Modular Sectional!
We’ve had it for over a year now and it’s held up great. It’s perfect for our less-formal media room, and the velvet fabric is so soft and luxurious. I love how comfortable it is, too – the down feather cushions provide maximum comfort and make lounging around even more enjoyable. Plus, the modular design makes it easy to customize the sectional to fit any space. All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it!
Even the cream color has held up to movie nights. Our (stupid) dog had some bladder issues a couple of weeks ago, so we rented an upholstery cleaner. I decided to hit the 1stopbedrooms sectional with it and it looks as good as new!
What we didn’t like about the sectional
Nothing is ever 100% perfect. The Merdian Section isn’t either. One small complaint on the product is that each section was shipped, and packaged, in separate boxes.
While it’s not the most environmental approach, it did probably save the section pieces from being delievered damaged. The downside of this is that the pieces had to be assembled by us – an extra step in our already long waiting period.
The good news is that it was sectional and super easy to put together. We literally just had to put the pieces next to each other.
There also wasn’t any way to connect the pieces together. The room was EXACTLY the right size, so we didn’t have to worry about this – we almost had to shove the sectional in the room to fit.

When it comes to returns, 1StopBedrooms makes it easy. Customers simply have to let them know within 30 days of delivery if they’re not satisfied with their purchase for any reason and they will arrange a return or exchange. Most items also come with free returns, taking any additional costs out of the equation. Plus, their customer service team is available 24/7 to answer any questions about returning an item.

Current shipping times: also improved
Right now, for the same Merdian Sectional, if ordered today, March 15th, 2023, it is scheduled to deliver March 17th to March 22nd. That’s only two to three weeks.
We’ve had great experience with 1stopbedrooms and are thrilled to see that their shipping times have improved drastically! We highly recommend them for anyone looking for stylish, affordable furniture delivered quickly.
Overall, our 1StopBedrooms review is quite positive. Their customer service is friendly and helpful, their selection of furniture pieces is excellent, and delivery times seem to be much faster than before.
