There's no way a foldable eBike can be any good... right? WRONG. We were incredibly impressed with this eBike.

The S1 eBike is for the avid cyclist who can’t seem to get enough of their bike. It’s a high powered and lightweight electric bike that also happens to be foldable. We thought, for sure, the folding aspect would be a gimmick, but it’s not at all.
We were super impressed with the motor: a 750W sustained, 1200W peak power and 85Nm of torque. On top of that, this bike is about 20 pounds lighter than the most comparable fat tire eBike that we’ve tested.
The only downside? It is slightly… and we mean slightly, less ergonomic than other eBikes.
The S1 eBike is a high-powered electric bike that is foldable. It has a 750W sustained, 1200W peak power and 85Nm of torque. It is slightly less ergonomic than other eBikes, but it is lighter and has a high-powered motor.
Who would we recommend the S1 to?
We’d recommend the S1 to anyone that a high-powered, foldable eBike. My parents, who own a camper trailer would love this eBike. When it’s not in use, it can easily fold up and they can store it in their camper or truck bed.
I wouldn’t recommend this for someone that needs a lightweight eBike and needs to carry it (see our Aventon Soltera Review for a good example of a lightweight bike). I’d recommend the S1 for tight storage places, mostly – either campers, apartments where it doesn’t need to be carried or even smaller garages.
The R1 eBike
The R1 eBike is more of a traditional fat tire electric bike.
With a striking, clean design, this eBike has all the features you'd expect from a fat tire electric bike: big fat tires, an integrated rear rack, and a powerful rear hub motor.
They offer both a step-thru and regular option.
Some reviewers complain that step-thru ebikes are not as sturdy. I have not found that problem whatsoever.
I’ve tested other electric bikes step-through bikes, like KBO Breeze Step Through, and had zero problems with it (read our KBO Step-Thru Review) In fact, on larger eBikes, I prefer the step-through option. It’s simply easier to ride and dismount.
The Snapcycle R1 also features a similar high-powered motor and even fatter tires. The bike does weigh about 10 pounds more, but this is going to be a better overall bike, if you don’t mind the larger size.
Who we recommend the Snapcycle R1 for
If you want a great, high-powered fat tire eBike that can handle almost anything you throw at it, look a the Snapcycle R1.
This bike is similar in a lot of ways to the RadRover 6 (Read our full RadRover 6 Review and our roundup of the best Fat Tire eBikes), but is considerably cheaper.
Obviously, you can’t fold this ebike, you’ll need something like our recommendation for the best fat tire eBike car hitch.
