Why We Love &Collar Clothes
&Collar has been making a lot of noise lately with their ads and I have to say, I was curious. I’m a big fan of Mizzen + Main dress shirts, but they are quite pricey.
&Collar claims to be just as good as Mizzen + Main, but at a fraction of the price, so I decided to order a couple of shirts to try them out. I have to say, I was impressed! These shirts are (ALMOST) every bit as good as Mizzen + Main, but at a fraction of the price. If you are looking for a great alternative to Mizzen + Main, &Collar is definitely worth checking out. We love &Collar clothes because they’re a great alternative to Mizzen + Main. They’re just as wrinkle resistant and machine washable but they’re a lot cheaper.
We also love that they’re expanding their line beyond just dress shirts – they now have slacks, blazers and polos, too. We’ll post more reviews of &Collar as we get more of their clothes but so far we’ve been really happy with what we’ve gotten.
What we don’t love about &Collar
Two small things to know about &Collar Shirts (read our full &Collar Review) that you should be aware of: the fit and the thickness of the shirts.
The shirts are not quite as thick as Mizzen and Main can look a bit see-through in solid, light colors. If you want something not as see-thru go with patterns or darker colors.
The other thing is that the shirts fit a bit snugger than Mizzen + Main (which we actually like). But the sizing on Mizzen + Main is a bit nutty. I wear a “Small Standard” in Mizzen and Main and a Large Trim in &Collar. And the trim size could be a little more trim. So, if you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up but sizing down on fit.
