Perfect Tee Review

Great, simple style

From the makers of the Perfect Jean, meet the Perfect Tee.

Another great t-shirt. Simple style. Super comfortable. Flexible.

Let’s dive into our Perfect Jean Tee Review.

About Perfect Jean NYC

Perfect Jean is an apparel company that was founded by some dudes (and now staffed by some awesome ladies) who really wanted a jean that could be worn anytime, every day of the week – whether they were busting ollies in a skate park (yeah… right), squatting at the gym, or doing yoga poses.

They succeeded and perfected their mission and came out with the perfect jean. Let’s give you our quick Perfect Jean Review before giving you our Perfect Tee Review.

About The Perfect Jeans – Jeans

The product that started it all – the Perfect Jean.

We really loved the Perfect Jean. Read our full Perfect Jean NYC Review to learn more.

But, in short, these jeans are incredibly comfortable, very stretchy – but the thing we love the most is the price. If you are like anything like me, you wear your more expensive clothes less. The Perfect Jeans are the perfect blend of nice and not so expensive you never want to wear them.

These jeans come in three different fits: skinny, slim, and athletic fits.

The Skinny is SUPER skinny. Slim, what I typically wear, is still a little tight around the calves. I don’t have huge calved but big enough to make a difference in a tighter pan.

The Athletic Fit is perfect for me. Not too baggy, not too tight. JUST right.

The fabric in the jeans is made of 64.5% Cotton, 30% Polyester, 3.5% Viscose and 2% Spandex. This means that your jeans will still look like jeans, be super comfortable AND super stretchy.

Don’t worry, if you want to do squats in them (for some odd reason, you still can!).

Meet The Perfect Tee

Now that we’ve established they’ve established the Perfect Jean – could they tackle the next frontier – shirts?!

Yes!

I was really excited to try the Perfect Jean T-shirt because of how much we loved their jeans. And it’s safe to say that this is just as good as the perfect jean.

The fabric on the shirt is SUPER soft and has a nice stretch (5% spandex). It truly feels like you can wear it all day, every day and still feel comfortable. Trust me, I did.

I’ve tried many different Tee Shirt companies recently (see our Buck Mason Tees Review and our Fresh Clean Tees Review) and the new Perfect Tee fits great within our closet.

Perfect Tee Fabric

It’s almost 100% cotton and features no polyester – which is unique in many of the new t-shirt designs. This shirt does, however, feature 5% spandex, which is unique.

The Spandex gives the shirt a unique stretch. The cotton gives the shirt a great feel and softness.

The Fresh Clean Tees (and even True Classic Tees) are a 60% cotton, 40% polyester mix.

Perfect Tee – The Fit

The thing we like about The Perfect Tee is that it’s slim and has a nice stretch.

Some slim fits are just too slim and unflattering. Other slim fits are still way too baggy in the mid-section. The perfect tee is just right in both departments – slim and stretchy.

The hem at the bottom of the shirt is curved, which is nice because it helps cover your backside when you are reaching up high to grab something. Or bending over to get something out of a cabinet.

The Sizing

Left: Medium, Right: Large

I wear a medium in pretty much every tee that I own. Some slimmer-cut medium shirts are a little too small. But this tee runs true to size.

I ordered a medium and a large, just to see the differences.

I recommend you order your typical size in the Perfect Tee – don’t size up or down.

Perfect Tee – The Colors

The Perfect Tee comes in three colors:

  1. Bandit – Black
  2. Knight – Dark Blue
  3. Blanco – White

Overall, the colors are pretty typical. The Knight is a little bit bluer than I expected. Not a bad thing at all – it just was almost more of a lighter blue than dark blue.

Care for the Perfect Tee

I only hang my Duckworth Vapor Tee – Read our full Duckworth Wool Review to find out why.

I love that the Perfect Jean NYC gives two sets of instructions, for the “perfect man” and “imperfect man.”

Here’s what they say:

For Perfect Men: Wash inside out in cold water. Hang to air-dry. Avoid the dryer for longer life.

For Imperfect Men: Throw them suckers in the laundry like the rest of your clothes (best to dry on LOW heat).

I wash all of my nicer tees (like Buck Mason Tees or Fresh Clean Tees) on delicate and then dry on the lowest heat setting.

That’s has allowed my shirts to last a long time.

Minimal branding

At first, I thought there was no branding at all on these tees. However, there is a small PJ on the top back of the shirt. It’s barely noticeable.

As we’ve talked about many times, we don’t like to wear clothes with a ton of branding. These pass – but we’d prefer that they had nothing at all.

The Perfect Tee Price

The Perfect Tee is at a great price – about $25.

I haven’t had the shirt long enough to tell you exactly how long it will last, but it seems incredibly well made.
