TL;DR — We tested the Jetsetter line. It looks sharp and fits snug, but it’s only semi-wrinkle-resistant, the suit is dry-clean only, and the $129 dress shirt is matched by machine-washable rivals at about the same price. Good if style is your top priority; skip it if you actually travel.

We love performance dress shirts at We Tried It. We actually saw someone buy a Jetsetter Dress Shirt through one of our links, so we had to try it ourselves and give you our honest Bonobos Jetsetter Review.
The short version? It’s an OK brand. Not a bad one. But there are better options at the same price — and even cheaper. Read this before you buy anything in the Jetsetter line.
Slightly more stylish than other performance suits, but lacks many of the other features you'll find others. The simple fact the suits aren't machine washable is a giant red flag.
Is Bonobos a Good Brand?
Honest answer: Bonobos is an OK brand, not a great one.
The clothes are a notch above average and the brand has a real cult following. But when we tested the Jetsetter line, the gaps showed. The suit is dry-clean only — nothing “jetsetter” about that. And the $129 dress shirt is only semi-wrinkle-resistant and semi-comfortable.
For the same money, we’d take Bluffworks, Ministry of Supply, or Mizzen + Main. Those are machine washable, wrinkle better, and pack more travel-friendly features.
One thing Bonobos does win on: the look. The design and tailored fit are a touch sharper than the alternatives. So if style is your top priority and care instructions don’t bother you, it’s a fine pick. If you actually travel — keep reading.
Jetsetter Line from Bonobos: what’s the big idea?

The Jetsetter line claims to be the perfect mix of comfort and style. From dress shirts to blazers, each piece uses a premium stretch fabric that’s supposed to feel luxe and resist pilling over time.
It’s pitched as the more technical, more comfortable line versus other Bonobos styles. More stretch, more breathability, easier care. Good idea on paper. We’ll get to how it holds up.
Who… or what is Bonobos?

Bonobos is an upscale menswear brand built around stylish, well-fitting clothing for modern men — suits, trousers, denim, shirts, shorts, and accessories. It was founded in 2007 by two Stanford Business School students, Andy Dunn and Brian Spaly, with a mission to fix the way men shop for clothes.

In 2012 it launched “Guideshops” — physical locations across the US designed for personalized fit advice. You try clothes on in store, then order online and have them shipped. It’s a fitting room, not a traditional store, and it let Bonobos keep the e-commerce convenience while solving the fit problem.
Who owns Bonobos now? (Walmart, then Express, now WHP Global)
This is where the ownership story matters — because a lot of older reviews still say “Walmart-owned,” and that’s no longer true.
Walmart acquired Bonobos in June 2017 for $310 million, hoping the brand would help it reach a younger, style-conscious shopper. That experiment didn’t pan out the way Walmart wanted.

In May 2023, Walmart sold Bonobos for a combined $75 million — a steep markdown from what it paid. Brand-management firm WHP Global bought the brand itself, and apparel retailer Express took over operations. Co-founder Andy Dunn returned as a brand advisor around the same time.
Then it got messier. Express filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April 2024, and a WHP Global-led group bought Express’s operations out of bankruptcy. As of 2026, WHP Global is the owner steering the Bonobos brand.
Why care about all this? Two reasons. First, brand owners change quality control and sourcing — there have long been complaints about quality after the Walmart years, though in our testing we found no major issues with the Jetsetter shirt itself. Second, ownership churn means inventory, sizing, and which exact products are in stock can shift. So if you’re buying, double-check the current product page rather than trusting an old listing.
For this review, we focus on the Bonobos Jetsetter Dress Shirt. You can also read about the other performance dress shirts we’ve reviewed.
Jetsetter Suits

It all started with a suit.
The Bonobos Jetsetter Stretch Wool Suit pairs a sharp cut with just a hint of stretch for comfort. Whether you’re at a formal event or just want to look put-together, it does the job all day.
The fabric is 97% wool, 3% stretch, so it works across seasons. The catch — and it’s a big one for a line called “Jetsetter” — comes later in this review.

The Dress Shirts

The dress shirts come in a wide range of colors and patterns, so you can find a look for just about any occasion.
They’re marketed with “superior” materials that supposedly make “jetsetting” (who actually says that?) easier.
In our testing, the shirt was just OK. Nothing special, but better than the average dress shirt. Want a better option? Check out our Mizzen + Main Review.
Features of the Bonobos Jetsetter Dress Shirt

The fabric is 76% cotton, 21% nylon, and 3% elastane — a blend built for a comfortable fit without giving up durability.
In practice, it’s semi-stretchy, but not in the same league as Mizzen + Main or Bluffworks.
It’s also not as wrinkle-resistant as those two, and not as comfortable. But if you want a slightly fancier shirt that fits REALLY well, the Jetsetter is a decent option.
It beats a standard dress shirt — including a classic oxford — but it’s not a magic fabric that keeps you wrinkle-free all day.

If you want something better than average, we’d point you to Mizzen + Main or Bluffworks dress shirts instead. They’re wrinkle-resistant, look just as good, and they’re usually less expensive than the Bonobos Jetsetter.
Who the Jetsetter Dress Shirt is designed for

The Jetsetter Dress Shirt is built for guys who want a more form-fitting shirt (which, honestly, isn’t me).
The one real edge it has over rivals: it fits more snugly. Great if you’re 25 and want to show off the “guns.” As an almost-40-year-old with two kids, that’s not on my list of must-have dress shirt features.
It also reads slightly more formal than other performance dress shirts we’ve tried.
So if other performance shirts never fit you quite right, the Jetsetter might be the one. If you want a more relaxed cut, you’ll want to look elsewhere.
Worth a look too: State + Liberty dress shirts. That brand is all about the “V” shape — basically the opposite of “dad bods.”
One genuine plus across the board: Bonobos has a straightforward return policy and helpful customer service, so you can test-wear before fully committing. Returns and exchanges are easy, which takes some of the risk out of buying online.
Bonobos Jetsetter Review: What we didn’t like

If you want the absolute best in performance suits or performance dress shirts, skip the Jetsetter line.
Why we didn’t like the Bonobos Jetsetter Suits

Here’s the dealbreaker: the suit is dry-clean only. There’s nothing “jetsetter” about that. If I’m buying a suit that isn’t for the Academy Awards, I want something more comfortable and machine washable — and plenty of those exist.
The dry-clean-only requirement makes the Jetsetter Suit a non-starter for me. I hate having to plan around how I’ll clean a suit. (It is wrinkle-resistant, at least.)
Why we didn’t like the Bonobos Dress Shirts

This shirt simply isn’t designed for the person who wants the BEST shirt for travel.
Broad, I know — but personally I need a shirt that’s wrinkle-resistant and comfortable. The Jetsetter is semi-comfortable and semi-wrinkle-resistant.

Since I travel a lot, that’s a problem. I prefer the wrinkle-resistant, great-looking dress shirts from Bluffworks and Mizzen + Main over this one. That said, I’ll give Bonobos the design edge — the look is slightly sharper than either.
Pros and Cons of the Jetsetter Line
The Jetsetter Dress Shirt is a popular pick for shoppers who want something stylish but still wearable day-to-day. It has a semi-fitted silhouette, a classic collar, and clean detailing — fine for the office or an evening out. The fabric is semi-wrinkle-resistant.
The downsides: it’s not very wrinkle-resistant, and it’s priced at the top of its class.
At around $129, the Bonobos Jetsetter Dress Shirt sits right alongside Mizzen + Main on price. But you can grab the excellent Bluffworks Lenox (read our Bluffworks Lenox Review) for about the same price (around $128). Bonobos does run frequent sales and bundle deals (it often offers two shirts for around $199), so prices shift — check the current listing before you buy.
Jetsetter Dress Shirt Alternatives: what we’d buy instead

Bonobos has a bit of a cult following. We get it.
But at the end of the day, Bluffworks and Mizzen + Main dress shirts are more wrinkle-resistant, look just as good (if not better), and are often cheaper. They’re more breathable too, which matters in warm weather.
Our verdict: if you want a quality dress shirt that looks great and won’t blow your budget, Bluffworks and Mizzen + Main are the better bet. You really can’t go wrong with either.
Jetsetter Suit Alternatives: the performance suit we recommend

We’ve reviewed some great performance suits we like more than the Jetsetter.
Every suit in our best performance suit guide is machine washable and seriously wrinkle-resistant. Our pick is the Ministry of Supply Kinetic Suit (read our Ministry of Supply Suit Review and our best travel suits).
The Overall Value
At around $129 for a shirt, Bonobos is clearly proud of the Jetsetter. You can often catch it on sale or in a bundle, which softens the blow. But even at the sale price, we’d reach for other options first.
Bottom line: the Bonobos Jetsetter Dress Shirt is fine — but better options exist. Look at Mizzen + Main and Bluffworks before you buy.
Jetsetter Review: The final verdict
Slightly more stylish than other performance suits, but lacks many of the other features you'll find others. The simple fact the suits aren't machine washable is a giant red flag.
The Bonobos Jetsetter Dress Shirt isn’t a bad pick. The semi-fitted cut and clean collar make it solid for the office or an evening out. But the semi-wrinkle-resistant fabric and top-of-class price mean there are better buys — namely Mizzen + Main and Bluffworks.
Those two travel better and breathe better without costing more. If you want one dress shirt that holds up on the road, start there. If you’re buying Bonobos purely for the look and the snug fit, go in knowing the tradeoffs.

Bonobos Jetsetter FAQs
Is Bonobos a good brand?
Bonobos is an OK brand with a cult following. The clothes are slightly higher quality than average, but the Jetsetter line lacks some features you get from other men’s performance brands — and the suit is dry-clean only. You can save money (on both the product and the dry-cleaning bills) by going elsewhere.
Personally, we prefer similar clothes from Bluffworks (read our Bluffworks Review), Ministry of Supply (read our full Ministry of Supply Review), and Mizzen + Main (read all about it in our Mizzen and Main Review). The prices are about the same and we like the quality and features more.
Who owns Bonobos now?
As of 2026, Bonobos is owned by brand-management firm WHP Global. Walmart bought Bonobos in 2017 for $310 million, then sold it in May 2023 for a combined $75 million (WHP Global took the brand, Express took operations). Express filed for bankruptcy in 2024, and a WHP Global-led group acquired its operations out of bankruptcy.
Are Bonobos suits any good?
They’re just OK. We don’t love them — mostly because the Jetsetter suit is dry-clean only, which defeats the “travel” promise. There are machine-washable performance suits at about the same price that we’d buy first.
How much is the Bonobos Jetsetter dress shirt?
The Bonobos Jetsetter Stretch Dress Shirt lists for around $129. Bonobos runs frequent sales and bundle deals (often two shirts for around $199), so you can usually find it for less. Check the current product page for today’s price.
How fast can you get a suit from Bonobos?
Standard shipping typically lands within a few business days of your order being confirmed, with free ground shipping on US orders. Depending on where you live, it may arrive even faster. Check the current shipping terms at checkout, since policies can change with the brand’s ownership.
