Our #1 Dress Suit. While the most expensive on the list, it's also the one that looks MOST like a suit.
The best of all worlds: not too expensive, not too thick, not too thin... just right.
We were shocked at how good this Twillory Suit was, but it's another great pick packed with great features.
But, surprisingly, we’ve found there are a lot of great options – but which travel suit is right for you? Keep reading our honest review (we’ve personally tested each item on this list) to find out more!
what is a travelers suit?
A traveler’s suit isn’t just any suit—it’s your go-to companion for hitting the road (or the skies) without sacrificing style. Think of it as the Swiss Army knife of menswear: versatile, durable, and designed to handle whatever your journey throws at it.
Whether you’re jetting off for a business meeting across the country or navigating a packed schedule of sightseeing, a good traveler’s suit will keep you looking sharp and feeling comfortable from takeoff to touchdown.
So, what sets a traveler’s suit apart from your regular office getup? It’s all about the details. These suits are crafted from high-performance fabrics that are wrinkle-resistant, breathable, and often have a bit of stretch—perfect for staying crisp even after hours in a cramped airplane seat.
They’re also typically lightweight, making them easy to pack without adding bulk to your luggage. And while they’re built for comfort and convenience, traveler’s suits don’t skimp on style, ensuring you’re ready for anything from a client presentation to a dinner out.
In short, a traveler’s suit is designed with the modern man on the move in mind. It’s about looking your best with minimal effort, no matter where your travels take you. Whether you’re a frequent flyer or just need a reliable suit that can handle the occasional trip, investing in a quality traveler’s suit is a game-changer for your wardrobe.
Best Men’s Travel Suits: Meet the Contenders
We’ve been searching for many years. Here are the suits we are testing for this review: The Ministry of Supply Kinetic Suit, the xSuit 3.0, the Bluffworks Gramercy Suit, the Twillory Performance Suit and the Buck Mason Carry-on Suit.
Want the short story? With exception of the Buck Mason Suit (read our Buck Mason Suit Review), you really can’t go wrong with any of the suits on this list.
So, which one is right for you? Keep reading our overview to find the right travel suit for you. We aren’t going to be covering super formal suits for men – like a three-piece suit, just the perfect one for your next trip that is crease-resistant (you don’t want to worry about packing it in a suitcase and getting wrinkled before you are even off the plane, do you?)and great for the summer, too.
A quick disclaimer: make sure to tailor any suit you buy
There’s nothing like the feeling of putting on a brand new suit. But sometimes, even the best suits can look a little off.
The secret to making any suit look amazing is custom tailoring.
This doesn’t have to be expensive, but it’s the key to making a suit look its best. Also, all suits shown here are paired with a Mizzen + Main Dress Shirt. Read our Mizzen + Main Review and learn why they are the best performance dress shirt we’ve tested.
Ministry of Supply Velocity Suit – The Best Travel Suits – Overall Pick
This suit does it all: no dry cleaning, lightweight and super comfortable. Also, it's not super expensive. It's a great value.
Meet the Ministry of Supply Velocity Suit – technically the Velocity Blazer and the Velocity Dress Pant – $686 if you buy separate, but get $75 here if you buy together – making it only $611. It’s simply the best wrinkle free suit we’ve tested.
The Ministry of Supply Velocity’s suit is impossibly soft, with a fabric that captures the crisp, classic look and feel of wool, without the hassle of dry cleaning.
Built with incredible stretch and wrinkle resistance, it’s ready for whatever the day throws your way.
The suit is also soft (but not quite pajama soft), making it comfortable to wear all day long. The fabric is made from 61% polyester, 33% viscose, and 6% elastane, which gives it a smooth feel and superior drape.

The Ministry of Supply Velocity suit is the perfect choice for any man who wants to look his best without spending hours at the dry cleaner or ironing their clothes.
What we love about the Ministry of Supply Velocity Suit:
- It’s the best-looking suit we tried, overall
- It’s the most lightweight
- The styling is just impeccable.
What we don’t love about the Ministry of Supply Velocity Suit:
- It’s a couple of hundred dollars more expensive than the others we reviewed.
- It’s not as stretchy as the others we tested – but it is probably the lightest.
xSuit 3.0 – The Perfect Black Suit
I hate to say it, but everyone needs a black suit, either for a black tie affair or a wedding. The xSuit 3.0 is the perfect black suit – it’s machine washable, stretchy, and wrinkle-resistant.
Read the full xSuit Review for more information. Also, check out the newest xSuit 4.0 Review, too.
The xSuit is made from a polyester/spandex blend that makes it super stretchy and comfortable to wear all day long. And, because it’s black, it goes with everything. The xSuit also has a baggier fit, which can – and should – be tailored.
The xSuit 3.0 is only $595 for both the pants and blazer.
Made with Infinite Flex fabric, it stretches to provide unparalleled comfort. It’s also lightweight and breathable, ready for all seasons. I was slightly skeptical at first, since it is slightly thicker than other suits, but it’s actually really comfortable and breathable.
Whether you’re wearing it for the office, travel or events, you probably won’t find a more comfortable or versatile suit than this. They even tested it on extreme sports athletes and yogis to ensure maximum performance. Not only is it machine washable and wrinkle-resistant, but it’s also stain-resistant, meaning that it will last even longer in-between washes.
This is the only water-resistant suit we’ve test, too!
What I love about the xSuit 3.0
- The price! For about $595 for both the blazer and the pants, it’s a great deal.
- The stretch is super incredible.
- The stain resistance is also a great option.
What I don’t love about the xSuit 3.0
- I would only recommend the xSuit in Black, since it might not look as good in some of the grey colors, like the Ministry of Supply or Bluffworks Suit – however, it is PERFECT in black.
- We don’t like the buttons – small issue, but OK.
Bluffworks Gramercy Suit – A great in-between
The best of all worlds: not too expensive, not too thick, not too thin... just right.
Actually 2 pieces, the Gramercy Blazer and Gramercy Pants – total: $480
The Gramercy Suit is a great in-between suit: it’s a great price, great weight, and great overall look. While it doesn’t look as good as the Ministry of Supply Suit, it’s also cheaper.
It’s also more casual. There’s nothing wrong with that – it’s just a great in-between suit in the best way possible. If you’re looking for a machine-washable suit that you’ll actually want to wear, the Gramercy Suit is a great option.
Made using technical fabrics, it looks like wool but is soft, wrinkle-resistant, and holds its shape. This suit is perfect for those who want a suit that looks great but is also affordable and easy to care for.
What we love about the Gramercy Suit:
- It’s an in-between in the best way possible: a great price, great weight and overall look.
- Tons of pockets.
- The subtle, cool branding.
- Comes in both waist and inseam sizes.
- Designed for travel
What we don’t love about the Gramercy Suit:
- Not as formal as other brands, but still great.
- Not the cheapest (but also not the most expensive).
All of the Bluffworks products (as you can see in your Bluffworks Review) are designed with ultimate versatility for travel. If you haven’t check out this great brand, then you’re missing out! Also, don’t miss our Bluffworks Suit Review, too.
This suit also has a ton of pockets, which is great for those who travel a lot. The branding is also subtle and cool, which I appreciate. And, it comes in both waist and inseam sizes, so you can get the perfect fit.
The only downside is that it’s not as formal as some of the other brands we reviewed – but it’s still a great suit.
Twillory Performance Suit
Technically the Performance Pant ($99) and Performance Blazer ($289) – $388 total. This is about the most
The Twillory Performance Suit has arrived! This suit has extreme stretch, doesn’t wrinkle, and NEVER needs dry cleaning.
Read our full Twillory Review for more information.
Some unique features of the Twillory Suit
You can just throw it in the wash as if it’s a tee. The Twillory Blazer looks professional with its 3D shoulder pads and warp-knit fabric, yet provides unmatched comfort and fit.
The matching Performance Pants are also made from non-iron performance fabric with the perfect amount of stretch. The shirt-gripping waistband and secured zipper pockets make these pants functional and stylish. Take your look to the next level with the Twillory Performance Suit.
What we love about Twillory Performance Suit
- The overall look is 1,000 times better than we imagined, this is just a great, AWESOME-looking suit
- Minimal branding
- Super stretch and really comfortable
- The gripper waist band is a game-changer for keeping your suit tucked in!
- The PRICE! This is a great deal on an great suit!
What we didn’t love about the Twillory Performance Suit
- This suit has minimal branding… except this annoying metallic tag on the pants. It even looks hard to take off, we just wish it wasn’t there
In short, we really loved the Twillory Performance Suit. It looks amazing, is super stretchy and comfortable, and is a great price. The only downside is the branding on the pants – but other than that, this suit is great!
Buck Mason Carry On Suit
Incredibly wrinkly and not polished. If you can pull off this suit - more power to you!
The Buck Mason Carry On Suit is a high quality, lightweight and airy suit that can be mixed and matched with other clothes from the brand.
The suit is loose-fitting and designed for comfort, but lacks some of the more advanced features of the other suits on this list – mainly the wrinkle-resistance, which makes this suit a big PASS on our end. The suit wrinkles if you look at it wrong and that’s just not acceptable in our book.
If you’re looking for a good quality, lightweight suit to travel with, we recommend checking out some of the other options on this list. But if you’re set on the Buck Mason Carry On Suit, be sure to call ahead and make sure you have access to an iron – or dry cleaner.
But that won’t even matter, because the second you put it on, the suit will be wrinkled. It may even get wrinkled just thinking about it.
What we like about the Buck Mason Suit:
- Honestly, the only thing we like is that it is Buck Mason and incredibly high quality.
What we don’t like about the Buck Mason Suit:
- Have we mentioned yet that it wrinkles faster than Shar-Pei? It does.
- Wait… have I mentioned yet that you won’t get the crisp, clean look of other suits on this list
So, in short, the Buck Mason Carry On Suit is a great suit for travel if you can pull off the poor newsies look. But if you want a wrinkle-free suit, we recommend checking out some of the other options on this list.
Best Travel Suit: Final Thoughts
Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the suits, except for the Buck Mason Suit. Every other suit on this list is wrinkle-resistant, machine washable and super breathable – perfect for the modern traveler.
So, there you have it! The best travel suits for men, according to us. Did we miss any? Let us know in the comments below!
Happy travels!
