I decided to do a comparison between the Vuori Performance Joggers, the Lululemon Align Joggers, and the Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants to find the BEST women’s jogger!

What is a jogger?
A women’s jogger is defined as a pair of sweatpants with elasticized at the ankles and waistband, allowing for more mobility when running. They usually have side pockets of some sort.
That doesn’t mean that you have to wear these, jogging. Most people use joggers for everyday casual wear or as a replacement for leggings.
Why should I buy a women’s jogger?
Women’s joggers are comfortable, super soft, functional, and look great! Women’s joggers are kind of the happy medium between sweatpants and leggings. They have been my new go-to over leggings – especially with how comfy they are. They also tend to be a little more high waisted.
They aren’t as “dressy” as jeans but still look a little more put together than sweats. They are kinda the blend between sweats and leggings – and they usually have pockets!
Let’s talk about the fabric first.
The search for the best women’s joggers starts with the fabric. Let’s dive into the differences, both the pros and cons between the different fabrics that the best women’s joggers are made up of.
Vuori Performance Jogger
The Vuori performance jogger is a synthetic fabric, but it doesn’t feel like plastic-y or rubber-ish. The Vuori Performance Joggers are made from their DreamKnit fabric. They are incredibly soft, stretchy, moisture-wicking, and not at all constricting. For more information, see our Vuori Jogger Review.
Lululemon Align Joggers
The Lululemon Align Joggers are made from the buttery and soft Nulu fabric. They really are soft and buttery with a little bit of “thickness” to the fabric.
Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants
The Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants are made from their CloudKnit fabric which is advertised as lightweight and crazy-soft, which I completely agree with. See more about CloudKnit here.
Best Women’s Joggers: Which fabric is the best?
Vuori Performance Joggers and Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants both have the same feel in that they are light, comfortable, and stretchy.
So now for my fabric comparison of these two brands: I found them to be really similar despite what their descriptions say.
Vurori Performance Joggers Fabric
The Vuori Performance Joggers DreamKnit Fabric is made from 89% recycled polyester and 11% elastane.
Outdoor Voice All Day Sweatpants Fabric
The Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants are made from 94% polyester and 6% spandex.
When doing a blind “feel test” I could not tell the difference between the two fabrics.
I put both in the washer and the dryer and neither pair has shrunk or pilled at all.
Lululemon Align Jogger Fabric
The Lululemon Align Jogger is made from their signature Nulu fabric which is 81% Nylon and 19% lycra elastane. The Nulu fabric feels more buttery and thick where the DreamKnit fabric and CloudKnit fabric feel thinner and a little bit more “slick” – if that makes sense.
The Lululemon Align Joggers can not be thrown in the dryer (although it says you can on their website, this is not my experience) because they tend to pill if you don’t treat them very gently. Due mostly to the fact that the Nulu is likely to pill and takes a little more effort to care for than the CloudKnit or the DreamKnit.
Best Fabric Winner: Vuori + Outdoor Voices
A tie! The Vuori Performance Jogger and the Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants are both amazing joggers. Frankly, it is too close to call between these two fabrics.
Best Women’s Joggers: The Fit
Fit is incredibly important when it comes to the best women’s joggers. Let’s talk about each jogger’s fit.
Vuori Performance Joggers: The Fit
The Vuori Performance Joggers have a slim, but relaxed fit. They have a loose elastic waistband and a drawstring. They can be worn high on the waist with the use of the drawstring or lower on the hips without the drawstring. They are slightly cropped with a 25” inseam. They have front pockets. They run true to size- I ordered a XS and I wear a size 25 in pants.
Lululemon Align Joggers: The Fit
The Lululemon Align Joggers say they have a relaxed fit that is roomy through the glutes and thighs and are full length intended to sit at the ankle.
They have a 28” inseam. They have a hidden waistband pocket and front pockets. They do not have an elastic waistband or a drawstring, the Nulu fabric is tight enough on the waist to keep them up.
They run on Lululemon sizing, which basically means you have to know your size or go to the store to try them on. I wear a size 4 in the Lululemon Align Joggers, the same as my Lululemon Align Leggings.
Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants: The Fit
The Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants are high rise with an elastic waistband and a tapered leg. They also have a drawstring, but the elastic waistband is a little tighter, so the drawstring is not really essential.
Best Joggers: The Fit Comparison
Now for the fit comparison. The Vuori Performance joggers and the Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants have a more similar fit with the elastic waistband and the drawstring.
The Vuori Performance Joggers have a slim fit throughout the pant, but they are not tight on any part of the leg.
The Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants are very loose in the “seat” area and are fitted around the calf. Although the fit is similar in theory, I think the Vuori Performance Joggers are more flattering since the seat is a little slimmer and they are not tight on the calves.
I also prefer the length of the Vuori Performance Joggers with a 25” inseam rather than a 30” inseam that the Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants have.
The Lululemon Align Joggers have a slim fit around the waist and then a more relaxed fit on the legs. Without an elastic waistband and a drawstring, they have to fit high on the waist. The length is nice with a 25” inseam.
Best Fit Winner: Vuori
Between the Lululemon Align Joggers and the Vuori Performance Joggers, I prefer the fit of the Vuori Performance Joggers because of the versatility of being able to wear them low on the hips or high on the waist.
Vuori vs. Lululemon vs. Outdoor Voices Joggers: How to style
I also prefer the Vuori Performance Jogger fit to the other two because they are the only ones I feel that I can wear with a loose top.

The Lululemon Align Joggers look best with a cropped shirt or a tucked-in shirt.
The Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants really look best with the coordinating All Day Hoodie.
I haven’t found another top option that I think really “goes” with the Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants.
For this reason, the Vuori Performance Joggers win the fit category because they are the most versatile and the most flattering in my opinion.

Price isn’t everything, but it is important to consider.

The Lululemon Align Joggers are $98.
Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants
The Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants are $88.
The Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants have a good fit, but it’s difficult to find other tops that match their style. They also get very expensive after adding on another top or two for matching purposes.
Best Price Winner: Vuori
There is not a huge difference between the prices, but the Vuori Performance Joggers are the cheapest option, so they win this category.
Best Womens Joggers: The colors and styles
The Vuori Performance Joggers come in 14 different colors.
The Lululemon Align Joggers come in 8 different colors.
The Outdoor Voices All Day Sweatpants come in 6 different colors.
The Vuori Performance Joggers come in the most color options.
If this is important to you, the Vuori Performance Joggers would win this category.
Most Styles: Vuori – but all pass the test
Personally, I only wear variations of black and gray leggings, so they all suffice in this category to me. All the different joggers listed here come in variations of black and grey (and even black Camo on the Vurori Joggers), so they all pass here – at least for me.
Best Joggers for Women: The features
Each one of these joggers has some unique features. Let’s dive into each one of them and discuss the pros and cons.
The Pockets
All of the joggers reviewed here have pockets. That’s important because you can store all of your goodies in them and not have to worry about carrying anything else.
The lululemon joggers have a bonus hidden “inside” pocket in the back waistband if you need to hold a key or a card. Something very small.
Drawstrings on Joggers
The lululemon align joggers are the only pair we reviewed in our search for the best joggers for women that did not have a drawstring.
This limits the ability to pull your pants up a little higher, if need be, and limits their ability to be named the best joggers.
Sustainability
The only product that doesn’t meet sustainability requirements here is the lululemon align joggers.
The Vuori Performance Joggers are made from sustainable materials. In fact, they are made mostly from recycled water bottles. How do they do that? They do that by using recycled water bottles in the manufacturing process, which is pretty incredible that it can be that soft and recycled water bottles!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is no such thing as the best pair of joggers. That being said, if you are looking for a great option that has everything from fabric to fit to price in its favor (and color options!), then Vuori Performance Jogger is an excellent choice.

In all honesty, I didn’t own the Vuori Performance Jogger until a couple of months ago and now they are my favorite pair of joggers!
