Wolf & Shepherd Crossover Loafer Review: meet my new favorite loafers from one of my new favorite brands.
I’m a big fan of Wolf & Shepherd shoes, and you can read our full Wolf & Shepherd Review to learn all the details. I was excited to try their new crossover loafers. And they did not disappoint!
These loafers are AWESOME! They fit like a glove, in the best way possible. Like a looser fit? Size up a half size.
The full-grain Italian leather is soft and luxurious, and the removable memory foam footbed makes them incredibly comfortable. They also have a foam-injected scuba lining that helps keep your feet cool and dry.
The leather is treated with a custom-blended formula that improves its durability and softness.
Plus, they’re designed in collaboration with Steve Nash himself! Who doesn’t love Steve Nash.
OK, enough about basketball, time for the loafers.

Meet your new favorite shoes. Well, they are my new favorite shoes, at least. Why?
Loafers are some of my favorite shoes because they are incredibly comfortable shoes that can easily be dressed up or dressed down.
First things, first: what’s a loafer?
Shoe loafers are a type of shoes that you can wear to work or for special occasions. They have a low heel and are made from soft leather. They usually slip on and off easily, and some people even wear them without socks! Including me, I hate wearing socks more than anything. Wolf & Shepherd’s take on the loafer is different, and I think it’s better.
Why I love loafers
There are a ton of reasons I love loafers, but let’s hit ’em really quick:
- You don’t have to wear socks
- You can dress them up or dress them down
- There are no annoying shoe laces to deal with
- You can slip them on or off
- High-quality loafers will last you years.
That’s 5 amazing things to love about loafers right off the top of my head, but it get’s even better. Let me dive deep into some of the unique features.
Features of Wolf & Shepherd Crossover Loafers
Let me hit the highlights:
No break-in time
Isn’t it annoying when you buy a new pair of shoes and you have to go through that awkward “break-in” period where your feet hurt and the shoes feel stiff? Wolf & Shepherd has solved that problem with their Crossover loafers.
The leather is soft and luxurious, but also strong and durable.
Take a walk on the clouds
Not only is there no break-in period, you’re going to feel like you’re walking on clouds the first time you put these shoes on. That’s because of the removable memory foam footbeds. They feature dual-density memory foam layers lined with a supple sheepskin leather for maximum comfort.
If you find that a size is too large or small, simple use one of Wolf & Shepherd’s Wide or Narrow footbeds. When the output from their proprietary footbeds becomes dull, they may be removed and replaced.
They don’t look like tech shoes
Shoes like Cole Haan Zerogrand were the first to market and they had to make a statement. But it was a statement that I wasn’t willing to make. I don’t want my shoes to look like they’re straight out of a sci-fi movie.
Wolf & Shepherd takes a more traditional approach with their Crossover loafers. They managed to pack in all the amazing tech features without making them look like tech shoes.

What I was switching from
I had tried several different brands to find the perfect loafer, but my previous loafer was actually a Cole Haan Loafer (not Zerogrand – but you can read our Zerogrand Review), but it was incredibly comfortable.
I actually took it on a hike (there were the only non-flip flops that I brought) and that pretty much made it the end of the road for that sorry pair of shoes.
But I had high hopes for Wolf & Shepherd because of all the amazing things I had heard about their shoes.
I wasn’t disappointed.
What I didn’t care for with the Loafers
I’ll shoot you straight, as always here. There’s one small thing I didn’t like the loafers that turned into a non-issue.
When my wife first say them, she said, “are these lift shoes?”
Now, I’m not the tallest guy (I’m 5’9″ on a normal day… 5’10” on a good day), but I wouldn’t ever consider getting lift shoes. That’s just something I’m not willing to do.
I explained to her that they weren’t lift shoes, but she still wasn’t convinced. The sole of the shoe does look big, when you hold up close to you head.
Good thing you don’t typically hold shoes close to you face because it’s a non-issue.
Wolf & Shepherd Crossover loafers look great on your feet and they don’t make you look like you’re wearing lift shoes, I promise – even if the soles look thicker when you first get them out of the box.
And my wife 100% agrees on this now, after seeing them on my feet.
How to style the Loafers
This is one of my absolute favorite parts about any high-quality loafer (sorry, not just you Wolf and Shepherd): you can style them in a million different ways.
They look great with jeans, shorts, slacks, and chinos. You can wear them with or without socks. They’re the perfect summer shoe (and can even be worn in the winter if you live in a warmer climate).
The Wolf & Shepherd Crossover loafers are incredibly versatile and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
These are our favorite pair of pants and the only pants we say are better than lululemon ABC Pants.
I’ve been wearing mine almost every day since I got them and I get compliments all the time. And people are always surprised when I tell them about all of the amazing tech features packed into these shoes.

In short, the Wolf & Shepherd Crossover loafers are the perfect shoe for any occasion.
I honestly would wear them everywhere from an outdoor summer wedding to running errands with the kids. That’s the truth.
